FAQ (frequently asked questions about me and/or my art)
I thought I’d throw together a little FAQ; first and foremost, so you can get to know me a little better…and also to answer some of your frequently asked questions; duh. =]
Questions about my art
Is any of it for sale?
No. I’ve thought about it, but after all I decided that I don’t like the idea of releasing my original works. It’s kind of a part of me that I just can’t seem to let go of. XD
I have thought about compiling some pieces of common variety and publishing them into booklets. I don’t have enough material for that right now though. And I don’t think I have a big enough fan base. XD
None of your artwork seems to be complete. Wtf?
As you may or may not have noticed, one of my trademarks as an artist is that I never actually finish a piece. I’ll work on the same project for a few days, and once I feel like I’ve exhausted my inspiration, I’ll just stop and leave it the way it is. I hate to go back and work on old drawings for fear of spoiling my original muse. =]
I guess it says something about both my personality and the extent of my common impulse.
Do you do commissions?
I’d love to do commissioned artwork! I’ve attempted it a few times before, but I’m kind of picky about which projects I want to take on. If I don’t like your idea, I’ll probably blow it off. If you appeal for something that peaks my interest, I’ll probably be more driven to follow through with your requests.
Oh, and one-word requests aren’t very enthralling. The more detail the better!
Do you watermark your commissions?
No, obviously I hold all rights to my own artwork, and I possess all of my originals, so there’s no need. Not to mention that watermarks are ugly. I would only consider watermarking my work if I were commissioned to create an original character.
The Basics
Where were you born/where do you live?
New Orleans, and SoCal.
I was born in New Orleans, and…I was raised throughout most of my life in Northwest Arkansas. I’ve been in SoCal now for about three and a half years.
My accent is probably washed out by now. ^__^
Got a hobby?
Yes, I work part time as a lumberjack, and I wrestle wild boars for sport. ^.^
Hobbies…hobbies…let’s just make a list:
Painting, piano, reading/writing, cosmology/astronomy, chemistry, animal planet, RPGs (my favorites are final fantasy, star ocean 2, and saga frontier), cooking (but only on the weekends), and…best for last would probably be having a picnic out in the yard and talking about stuff. ^__^
You look fake…are you a fake?
A fake what? ^.^
So…what am I like in real life vs. the internet? I never talk, I rarely ever wear makeup out of the house (only sometimes in the winter months so that it doesn’t melt off of my face), I only get dressed up on occasion, if I think I’m going somewhere deserving of good decorum, I eat a lot of cocoa crispies, and I usually fall asleep watching cartoons.
I always try to have a nice looking profile picture, since I seem to get more friend requests when I do. So you’ll probably never see a crappy picture of me unless you’re on my friends only account.
I don’t know if that answered it. You’d have better luck to ask people who have actually met me, and…I haven’t had a social life since high school, so good luck finding one.
What do you do for a living?
Nothing. I’m a student, that’s all. ^__^
I’m a high school dropout and an aspiring astrophysicist. ^.^
My favorite subjects are cosmology and chemistry and, well…physics falls somewhere right between the two.
I don’t know what befell my defiant little head as a teenager, but school was always the last thing that I cared about. I could ace a test if I wanted to, but I never made any sort of effort to actually do well in school; a common tragedy, if you ask me.
I moved around so many times throughout my senior year in highschool, and I hated it so much that I came up with the brain fart idea that I would just call it quits. Why go to school when I could be doing nothing, right? =]
I don’t know what provoked my change of heart, but I’m finally pursuing my dreams, rather than dwelling in them. =]
Relationships & Friendship
So what do you look for in a guy?
Why…absolutely nothing. I’m already betrothed. =]
What if you weren’t?
If I wasn’t in a relationship right now, I certainly wouldn’t be pursuing one! For starters, I’m not interested in courtship; if it happens, it happens. And I haven’t been boy crazy since I was 16. X__x
I wouldn’t mind becoming a celibate nun if I weren’t non-religious…if that says anything about me.
So you don’t have a “type”?
No, but I loved Brad Pitt in that leather mini-skirt in Troy.
Is King Boots your boyfriend???
No. =]
Can I be in your top friends/Why am I on your top friends?
My top 4 friend space is always reserved for people that I care about (friends and family only). If I put you anywhere else on my top friends it’s so that I can reach your profile with ease. So don’t think that I’m stalking you or anything. ^__^
Oh, and I guess the answer to the first part is no. O_o
Can we meet?
Er…I have met people from myspace in the past, and most of the time it wasn’t supporting of my best interests. I’d have to say no, for my own safety.
Favorites
Favorite Foods and drinks?
This is probably my favorite category. The best route taken to my heart is through good food. ^__~
There have been many occasions where I’ve burnt my own taste buds to oblivion by not waiting for my food to cool down. And I have to say, that those times have truly been the saddest in my life.
I love spaghetti (I prefer meat sauce over meatballs), a little watery with brown gravy mix and/or chicken broth as a base. I’m also a big fan of chicken spaghetti. Please, none of that dried up cafeteria crap!
Some of my other favorites include Gumbo (seafood and okra, or chicken and andouille), Potato soup, potato salad, red beans and rice, crawfish ettoufe, sausage and corn soup, albondigas soup, tuna melts, and shrimp and squash.
My favorite beverages are black tea (iced or hot), and aloe vera crush juice. I don’t drink soda, and I don’t drink alchahol unless I’m being supervised by a person of higher respect and intellect.
And last but not least, my favorite snacks include mint chocolate chip ice cream and peppermint patties.
Favorite place for a date?
Let’s go with…the toy section at Wal*Mart. It’s just the best place to get to know someone. XD
You’d really win me over by taking me someplace enthralling, like the zoo/aquarium, a planetarium…the top of a hill on a starry night. Or you could take me to Chilli’s and order the skillet queso just for me. Just…for me. <__<
I’m not hopelessly romantic or anything…maybe a little bit nerdy on occasion. I’d be happy shoveling horse crap. It’s not that hard to pick a destination that’ll suit my preferences.
Religion and Politics
Before we even get started…I’m not the person to talk to. O_o
I don’t care what religion you are, and I don’t care what your political views are. I know absolutely zilch about these things. I don’t believe in higher powers, and I’m not an atheist.
I lied. I thought I wouldn’t be updating for a while, but I’ve been home alone all day. I thought I’d do something besides watch the Golden Girls. Heehee. ^_^’
I got my new lining pen! It’s kind of hard to get used to. Maybe it’s not what I was looking for after all. Or maybe I just need to spend some more time with it. =]
—————————————————
On a side note, I was thinking today that…there are so many things out there that I have never touched!
I’ve never touched a violin; one of my favorite instruments. I’ve never touched a telescope, and I love astronomy. I’ve never touched an elephant (or at least I don’t remember ever touching one), and they’re one of my favorite animals. I’ve never shaken hands with my favorite artist (and regrettably, I did have a chance to).
So many things left untouched! =(

And on another side note, ahhhh my wisdom teeth hurt so bad. ;__;
I shouldn’t have eaten those frosted flakes. ;__;
Doodoodoo. I have been so busy lately. I have to made a dentist appointment (bleeeeeeeeghhhh, I hate the dentist), and a dermatologist appointment (did I mention I have transluscent skin?). I have been scouring my bedroom from top to bottom all week in search of the power cord that goes to my printer. I’m dying to have my printer hooked up so I can use the scanner, and so I don’t have to hand write any more essays. x___X
On a side note, I ordered some new art supplies. I got some new paper, and…best of all I got a new lining pen! I’ve never used one before so I’m really excited for it to get here. It’s great because most pens don’t come in the size/color that I want, but with this one I can mix my own ink and fill the cartridge myself. ^.^
More coming soon…
I’m currently working on a game girls collection. This is probably the most significant addition (to me personally) because it’s a category of art that I love; fan art! I’m also hoping that it will draw the attention of other fans who have similar interests!
— Who is my favorite video game girl, you ask? I have a few choice picks, but one of my favorites is Terra from FFVI! —
More coming soon…
Wow, this is something that I’m really excited to do. My floral collection is going to involve working with real dried flowers and ink. I’m also going to pull together a tutorial on how you can do it yourself. Unfortunately, I’m not planning on having this ready until much later in the year/possibly early next year.
More coming soon…
This is probably going to be my most important project; designing potential CD covers. I’ve had a lot (a lot) of people approach me in the last year in regards to potential album cover and band logo designs. Unfortunately, I’ve just been too tangled up in other *things* to take on the comittment.
More coming soon…
